Now that's what I call a balanced debate

Three for assisted suicide, two against.

Not the other way around, or the two sides evenly matched, nor even the pretence of impartiality - the Obs dipped into DiD, formerly the Voluntary Euthanasia Society's phrasebook - the VES (DiD) doesn't like terms like euthanasia, or even assisted suicide (too depressing) preferring the more clinical and natural sounding assisted dying.

And look at the way the "debate" was illustrated - with a sympathetic picture of Debbie Purdy and partner Omar Puente, instead of a neutral symbol or image - all designed to manipulate emotion and massage public opinion.

Peter Hitchens isn't the only one who's sick of it. So am I.

Peter Hitchens eh? Well with backers of that calibre, I'm sure the politico-religious opposition to reform of euthanasia law will go from strength to strength!

Can I suggest Nadine Dorries to front the campaign, in light of the wonderful job that she did over the HFE bill? ;-)

And Lord Carlile and Baroness Falkender and Liz Carr and Nat Hentoff and ...

The culture of death doesn't have all the best tunes by any means.

PS: Take your point about Nadine. I hope Quinters just stays the hell away because this city aint big enough for the both of us.

And by the way, big up the bishops' bench in the House of Lords for striking down the crackpot secularist bits of the Equality Bill. They do sometimes serve a useful purpose, even if it's only to annoy Titus Oates.

Hello,

I'm just browsing sites for the children of Haiti.

I'm here for a non-profit group that is dedicated to
building oppurtunities for the children in haiti. If anyone here wants to donate then this is the place:

Donate to Haiti or Help Haiti

They provide kids in Haiti a learning environment.

And yes, they're legitimate.

It would be great if you could help
